UPI Technology Preview (1.09) main characteristics include:

1. MySQL Backend
2. Web Service and Rest Based front ends to the provenance store
3. URI Process-Assertions schema and Hierachical URIs
4. Browser based navigation of provenance store contents
5. Prototype flash based visualisation of the provenance store
6. Provenance query and export capabilities compatible with the Open Provenance Model
